Day 1 — Cusco → Km 104 → Aguas Calientes: Morning transfer to Ollantaytambo train station. Train to Km 104 (Chachabamba), start of the trek. Guided visit to Chachabamba ruins. Hike through cloud forest with orchids and exotic birds. Lunch at Wiñay Wayna campsite. Guided tour of the Wiñay Wayna archaeological complex (terraces, canals, temples). Ascent via Inca stairways to the Sun Gate (Intipunku) with panoramic views of Machu Picchu at sunset. Descent to Aguas Calientes, overnight stay. Total distance: 12 km.
Day 2 — Machu Picchu → Cusco: Early breakfast. Bus to Machu Picchu citadel. 2.5-hour guided tour. Free afternoon to explore. Bus down to Aguas Calientes. Return train to Ollantaytambo. Bus to Cusco.
