Peru's capital and UNESCO World Heritage-listed city centre, Lima combines Spanish colonial architecture, world-renowned gastronomy (home to two of the world's best restaurants, Central and Maido) and museums holding the continent's most important pre-Columbian art collections. On this 2-day tour you'll explore its most iconic neighbourhoods: Miraflores with its cliffs above the Pacific, bohemian Barranco and the fascinating Larco Museum.
Day 1 — Historic centre and museums: Airport pickup, hotel transfer in Miraflores. Historic centre tour: Plaza Mayor, Cathedral, Government Palace, San Francisco Convent and its catacombs. Afternoon: Larco Museum (over 45,000 pieces of Inca gold, silver and ceramics). Welcome dinner at a Novo-Andean cuisine restaurant.
Day 2 — Miraflores, Barranco and farewell: Walk along the Miraflores cliffs, Parque del Amor, Polvos Azules artisan market. Barranco district: Bridge of Sighs, art gallery, bohemian street. Seafront lunch. Transfer to the airport for your Cusco flight.
